Jacket NM / LP EX

This beautiful LP from Philips (641 422 AXL, German pressing, plum/silver “Minigroove” label, mono) features Bruno Walter and the Columbia Symphony Orchestra’s wonderfully captivating account of Dvorak’s Symphony No. 9 in E minor Op. 95 “From the New World”, made at American Legion Hall, Hollywood, CA, on 14 February 1959.

It should be noted that this was Walter’s only commercial recording of this work, and fine it is, too!

In lieu of liner notes, the reverse side of the jacket carries the title and track listing. The striking cover design is uncredited.
