This lovely LP – rare in stereo – from Les Discophiles Français (DF 740 085, French EMI Pathé-Marconi pressing, white/green label, stereo, dowel spine) features the splendid harpsichord player Aimée van de Wiele in a magical all-Rameau program, recorded with tremendous realism at the Salle Wagrm, Paris, on 31 March 1964, one of the great recitals of its kind on record.

Bach’s Goldberg Variations BWV 988, made in the rich acoustics of Jesus-Christus-Kirche, Berlin, during 26-30 August 1958.
