Furtwangler: In Memoriam (Bach, Haydn, Bruckner, etc.) - DG KL 27/32 (5LP box set)

$165.00 USD

DG (LP)

Box NM- / LPs NM-

This beautiful 5-LP box set – a fine collector's copy – from DG (KL 27/31, German pressing, tulip label, mono, booklet included) entitled “Wilhelm Furtwängler · In Memoriam” features a remarkable tribute to the legendary conductor. Furtwangler has been well-served on record, with many fine pressings on French, German, and UK labels, but his artistry has seldom been presented so handsomely as here.

One attraction of this set is that it gathers together truly some of his finest performances, if one can even narrow them down from such an illustrious legacy.
