All items are sent from the Barcelona, Spain area via Correos, the Spanish National Post.

Cost: Although costs are automatically calculated online during the checkout process (based on weight), a general cost structure is provided below as a guideline.

Delivery Times: Delivery times average 5-10 business days. For large orders, economy airmail (also with a tracking number) is possible. In such cases, delivery time averages 10-20 days. No items are ever sent via surface mail.

Shipping is charged at cost. I do not attempt to make even 1 penny on shipping. Nor do I charge “handling fees” or pass the cost of supplies (mailers, poly-sleeves, etc.) on to customers. If a customer is overcharged, as regards shipping, I will refund the difference.

Outside of Europe, shipping can be quite expensive, though very much comparable to other European countries.

The good news, at least for those contemplating a large order, is that the shipping rates do not continue to climb precipitously. Roughly, postage increases by $4.00 USD for every kg above 2.0 kg. Thus, to mail 3 kg costs $44.00, 4 kg $48.00, 5 kg $52.00, etc. The big jumps in price occur at 500 g and 1000 g. Thereafter the increases are more modest.

Below is a table with shipping rates up to 1.5 kg. Based on weight and destination, the rates are roughly as follows:

Cost Structure (General Guidelines)

Up to 500 grams

$12.00 USD for standard airmail (5-10 days delivery)

$15.00 for certified airmail (5-10 days delivery, with tracking #)

What items typically fall into this category?

1 standard 12” or 10” LP, including gatefold LPs

3 to 4 CDs

What items are too heavy for this rate?

2-LP sets, early French dowel spine (ds) issues, and even some early 12” LP; for example, I once mailed a 1950 Westminster LP that weighed, with the LP mailer box, around 530 grams.

Up to 1000 grams

$23.50 USD for standard airmail (5-10 days delivery)

$27.50 USD for certified airmail (5-10 days delivery, with tracking #)

What items typically fall into this category?

Generally just 2 LPs. If the LPs are 1970s/80s issues, I can with some luck get 3 LPs, safely packaged, just under 1000 g. If the LPs are 1950s or 1960s pressing, 2 is the maximum possible.

Up to 1500 grams

$42.95 USD for standard airmail (5-10 days delivery)

$47.00 USD for certified airmail

What items typically fall into this category?

3 to 5 LPs, most 3-5 LP box sets (though not all; again, this is dependent on whether the set is a 1950s/60s issue or a later 1970s/80s issue).

Correos is very reliable and during the 11 years I have been selling from Spain, only perhaps 3 packages out of more than 5000 have been lost. The only disappointment I have ever encountered is the occasional slow delivery times during the Christmas holidays.

Please write with any questions. I will be happy to help.
