This beautiful LP – note the amazing cover art – from Nixa (WLP 20027, English pressing, red/silver label mono) features a license from the Westminster catalog (XWN 18680), with conductor Artur Rodzinski conducting the Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra of London (Beecham’s RPO) in a magnificent all-Richard Strauss album, recorded in demonstration quality sound in the rich acoustics of London’s Walthamstow Assembly Hall in May 1955.
