This lovely LP – rare in stereo – from Les Discophiles Français (DF 740 085, French EMI Pathé-Marconi pressing, white/green label, stereo, dowel spine) features the splendid harpsichord player Aimée van de Wiele in a magical all-Rameau program, recorded with tremendous realism at the Salle Wagrm, Paris, on 31 March 1964, one of the great recitals of its kind on record.

This lovely LP from Decca (6.42407, German pressing, blue label, stereo) features Mozart playing at its very finest, pairing wonderfully ebullient accounts of the composer's Violin Concertos No. 3 in G Major K. 218 with No. 4 in D Major K. 218, both with Iona Brown as the inspired soloist, leading the Academy of St.-Martin-in-the-Fields from the violin.

This beautiful LP from Italian Columbia (33 QCX 10384, Italian pressing, red semi-circle label, stereo) features legendary violinist David Oistrakh’s classic account of Beethoven’s Violin Concerto in D Major Op. 61, accompanied by André Cluytens and the Orchestre Nacional de la Radiodiffusion Française – recorded in the Salle Wagram, Paris on 8/10 November 1958 (Walter Legge, Producer / Paul Vavasseur, Engineer).
