This handsome LP from RCA Victrola (VICS-1139, US pressing, plum/silver label – ED1, 1S/1S stampers, stereo) features Sir Adrian Boult and the London Philharmonic Orchestra’s stirring account of Rachmaninov’s Symphony No. 2 in E minor Op. 27, made in 1965, an under-rated performance kept at a slow-burn, yet built with cumulative power and with a true slavic ardor.

This lovely LP – a superb collector’s copy – from RCA (VICS-1024, US pressing, plum/silver label, stereo) features pianist Alexander Brailowsky’s magnificent account of Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor Op. 18, recorded with conductor Enrique Jorda and the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra in 1957 and sounding absolutely splendid here.

This handsome LP, a still-sealed copy, from RCA Victrola (VIC-1476, US pressing, label iteration unknown, mono – issued 1969) entitled “The Art of Emanuel Feuermann” features the legendary cellist in four late recordings, one of which boasts the added presence of William Primrose. Also joining Feuermann is the splendid pianist Franz Rupp, Fritz Kreisler's accompanist.
