$3.00 USD
Jacket VG / LP GOOD / German pressing
This beautiful LP from Philips (A 01174 L, German pressing, plum/silver Minigroove label, mono) features Dimitri Mitropoulos and the New York Philharmonic Orchestra's bewitching accounts of Mendelssohn's Symphonies No. 3 in A minor Op. 56 "Scotch" and No. 5 in D Major Op. 107 "Reformation", both recorded at Columbia 30th Street Studio, New York, on 2 November 1953. These were works that Mitropoulos alwayls conducted exceedingly well, and here is not exception, with the New Yorkers on brilliant, dashing form throughout.
CONDITION:
The condition of the jacket is VERY GOOD. There is some bumping/wear at corners, as well as some discoloration and creasing, but that is all. There are no owners' markings, bends, or seamsplits, and the album remains solid, bright, and glossy – overall, an excellent collector's copy.
The condition of the LP itself is GOOD. There is some surface noise and a few tics, but this is still an enjoyable copy – overall, a decent collector's copy.
