$25.00 USD
Jacket NM- / LP NM
This fascinating LP from Philips (411 117-1, Dutch pressing, silver/red label, stereo) collects nearly all of Liszt's small output of chamber music, all original compositions and settings of his own, performed here undering the guiding light of 20th Century Music specialist Rienbert de Leeuw, who reveals the visionary stature of these little-known works with an estimable group of fellow musicians.
This is remarkable music and should be heard much more often.
The musicians heard here are:
Reinbert de Leeuw, piano
Vera Beths, violin
Anner Bijlsma, cello
Gerda Ockers, harp
Bob Zimmerman, harmonium
