This handsome LP from Philips (6500 342, Dutch pressing, red/silver label, stereo) features conductor Bernard Haitink and the Concertgebouw-Orchester’s wonderful account of Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 1 in D Major “Titan”, recorded in the warm acoustics of Grote Zaal, the Concertgebouw, Amsterdam, on 17 May 1972.
