Duchesne (LP)

Jacket VG+ / LP NM / Belgian pressing

This lovely and quite rare LP from Duchesne Liège Belgique (DD 6010, Belgian pressing, black/silver label, stereo) entitled 'Mozart pour Deux' pairs marvelous performances of the composer's Sonata for Two Pianos in D Major K. 448 (played here by Francis Duquennois and Claudia Doppagne, pianos) and the Twelve Duos for Two Horns (with Francis Orval and Robert Janssens, horns). All four players prove themselves echt Mozartians and the recorded sound is superb – a curate's egg of a disc, little-known and never on CD.

The gradations of condition I use are as follows: MINT, Near-Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.

The condition of the jacket is VERY GOOD++. There is edgewear, particularly at corners, as well as some minor creasing and discoloration to the rear panel. However, the album is without seamsplits or owners' markings and remains solid, bright, and glossy – overall, a very good collector's copy.

The condition of the LP itself is near-MINT and plays without defect – a fine collector's copy.
