With these two beautiful – and quite rare – heavy gatefold LPs from Vega (C 30 S 321/322, French pressing, white labels, mono) one can collect complete conductor Louis Auriacombe and l’Orchestre de Chambre de Toulouse’s magnificent survey of Bach’s 4 Orchestral Suites BWV 1066-1069, recorded circa 1961 and still a notable landmark in the Bach discography.
Included then are the following works of J.S. Bach:

Orchestral Suite No. 2 in B minor BWV 1067
Orchestral Suite No. 3 in D Major BWV 1068

This remarkable cycle was set down in the rich acoustics of the Théâtre du Capitole de Toulouse (producer: Pierre Rosenwald / engineer: Martine Duchemin
These heavy gatefold albums, with glossy front panels, from Vega are really lovely – works of art in themselves – easily the finest possible pressings of these recordings.
The interior panels of both jackets carry insightful notes by Marcel Marnat – provided in French only – as well as memorable session photos. The lovely cover design is uncredited.
CONDITION – PLEASE READ VERY CAREFULLY:
The gradations of condition I use are as follows: MINT, Near-Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.
The condition of the jackets is EXCELLENT throughout. Both show minor corner wear and mild discoloration but really that is all, close to NM. There are no seamsplits, bends, owners’ markings, or other defects, and both remain solid, bright, and highly attractive – overall, these rate as excellent collector’s copies.
The condition of the 2 LPs is EXCELLENT throughout. Although surfaces are not perfectly silent and there are a few scattered soft tics, really these are fine copies and playback is fine. However, if you must have flawless copies, then please do not buy this set – overall, these rate as excellent collector's copies.
