RCA (LP)

Jacket EX / LP NM / Italian pressing

This beautiful LP – a superb collector’s copy – from Italian RCA (LM-1836, Italian pressing, plum/silver label, mono) features Arturo Toscanini and the NBC Symphony Orchestra in a magnificent reading of Brahms’s Symphony No. 3 in F Major Op. 90, recorded in the warm acoustics of New York’s Carnegie Hall on 4 November 1951. There is a dynamism here that sweeps all before it, with a rich Brahmsiam ebb and flow – one of the great accounts on LP.

There are superlative liner notes on the reverse side of the jacket by Irving Kolodin, printed in both Italian and English. The lovely cover art is credited to Cannone.

CONDITION – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:

The gradations of condition I use are as follows: MINT, Near-Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.

The condition of the jacket is EXCELLENT. There is minor bumping at corners, as well as slight creasing and a small bit of writing to the rear panel, but that is all. There are no bends, seamsplits, or other defects, and the album remains solid, bright, glossy, and very attractive – overall, an excellent collector's copy.

The condition of the LP is near-MINT and playback is superb – overall, a truly fine collector's copy.
