$100.00 USD
Jacket VG- / LP VG
This beautiful and rare LP from Capitol (P-18023, Spanish pressing, rainbow label, stereo) entitled "El Arco Mágico" features the Spanish pressing of Michael Rabin's famous album "The Magic Bow"
Side 1 includes:
Kreisler: Caprice Viennois Op. (rec. Sept 1959)
Dinicu-Heifetz: Hora Staccato (rec. Sept 1959)
Massenet: Meditation from Thais (rec. March 1959)
Sarasate: Zigeunerweisen (rec. Sept 1959)
Side 2
Paganini-Kreisler: Moto Perpetuo
Kreisler: The Old Refrain
Rimsky-Korsakov’s (arr. Heifetz): The Flight of the Bumblebee
Saint-Saëns: Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso
(all rec. Sept 1959)
The condition of the jacket is VERY GOOD-. There is a small circular tear to the middle of the front panel, as well as edge wear, discoloration, and general aging. However, there are no seam splits or owners' markings and the album remains solid, bright and attractive – overall, a VG- collector's copy.
The condition of the LP itself is VG. The only real flaw barring a NM- grading concerns a small scratch to the Kreisler Old Refrain that results in repetitive tics for perhaps 2 minutes. There is no needle jumping and the track plays through just fine, albeit with the tics. The rest of the LP is not CD silent, but can be safely graded as NM- or EX.
Therefore, if you must have flawless or NM surfaces, then do not buy this LP. This rates as a VG collector's copy.
