Guilde Internationale du Disque (LP)

Jacket EX / LP EX / French pressing

This lovely LP from Guilde Internationale du Disque (M-2243, French pressing, green/silver label, mono) features that supreme Mozartian pianist Lili Kraus in magical performances of the composer’s Piano Concertos No. 19 in F Major K. 459 and No. 26 in F Major K. 537 “Coronation”, both with Giofranco Rivoli conducting l’Orchestre de la Société Philharmonique d’Amsterdam.

Both recordings were made circa 1960 and are by no means inferior to her earlier, and more highly prized, versions for Vox. This is wonderfully stylish and deeply felt Mozart playing. Moreover, the sound is first rate: warm and well balanced.

There are fine liner notes (uncredited) on the reverse side of the jacket, printed in French only. The striking cover photo is similarly uncredited.

CONDITION:
The gradations of condition I use are as follows: MINT, Near-Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.

The condition of the laminated flipback jacket is EXCELLENT. There is very minor wear at corners and mild shelfwear, but that is all. There are no seamsplits, owners' markings, or other defects, and whole remains solid, bright, glossy, and highly attractive – overall, an excellent collector's copy.

The condition of the LP itself is EXCELLENT. Although the surfaces are not absolutely silent, really this is a fine copy and the playback is enjoyable. Those requiring a flawless or near-MINT copy are kindly advised to look elsewhere. Overall, this is an excellent collector's copy.
