This handsome and rare LP from Polskie Nagrania · Muza (SX 2100, Polish pressing, yellow label, stereo) entitled “Mieczyslaw Horszowski at the National Philharmonic Hall in Warsaw” features the great pianist “live” in concert on 6 May 1984, a recital never transferred to CD.

Horszowski’s program on this memorable occasion was as follows:

J.S. Bach: Partita No. 2 in C minor BWV 826

W.A. Mozart: Piano Sonata No. 17 in B-flat Major K. 570

Robert Schumann: Träumerei, No. 7 from Kinderszenen Op. 15
